The original Barbot Special was made to compete in a race called the Bol d'or, on the circuit just outside Paris called Montlhery, which the car won. In 1953 it was modified to try and capture endurance records on the same circuit where it succeeded in breaking 9 international records.

In this spirit Mark has made a replica of this car.

The car has been used for several charity events. Mark drove it for the 2000 Beaujolais challenge to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital, winning the Spirit of the Event trophy. It has also been used for a charity track day at Lydden circuit organized by Chrysler Jeep UK to raise money for the Kent Air Ambulance Fund, where rides in the Yacco was just as popular as one in a Viper!

The car is regularly driven to Le Mans for the famous 24 hour race - but obviously does not compete!!

The Yacco always draws attention & lots of interest wherever it goes.
